Your gym's settings, section by section

Everything on the Gym screen, what climbers see of it, and which bits are worth your time.

In short

  • Press Edit gym, change anything, then Save changes. Nothing saves until then.
  • Keep your day pass price the same as the sign at your front desk.
  • Hours can sync from Google overnight, or you can set them by hand.

getwallpass.com/admin → Gym is your gym's page in the climber app. It opens read-only: press Edit gym at the top right to change anything, then Save changes. Nothing is saved until you press it, so you can look around safely.

Sections run down the page. Edit gym, at the top right, unlocks all of them at once. Tap to enlarge.
  • 1Edit gym unlocks every section at once. Nothing is saved until you press Save changes.

Photos

A cover photo and a logo. The cover is the first thing a climber sees when your gym comes up in the app, so use a wide shot of the actual walls rather than your logo on a white background. The logo shows small, next to your name.

Before anyone signs up, the app plays every gym's cover full screen. In edit mode, Framing in the app shows yours the way that screen does: drag the photo to choose what stays in view, use Zoom to move in, and keep the walls clear of the buttons at the bottom. Save framing applies it right away, on its own: Save changes doesn't include it. Choosing a new photo starts the framing over.

About

A short description for climbers who've never been. Two or three sentences: what you have, how big, anything that makes the trip worth it. Write it for a visitor from out of town.

Pricing

One number: your adult walk-in day pass price. Wall Pass sells it at 12% off, rounded up to the next 10 cents, and shows you exactly what that works out as.

Rental gear

Optional. Turn it on and set a price for shoes, chalk, a harness or a belay device, and climbers can add them while they're checking in. It's already paid for by the time they reach the desk. You can also bundle items into a package price, which is how most gyms sell a first-timer kit.

Amenities

Checkboxes for what you offer, plus a free-text box for anything unusual. Climbers filter and compare on these, so it's worth being complete. Showers, parking and a gear shop all get looked for. You can also pick up to two to feature on your gym's tile in the app.

Email, phone, website, Instagram, and a waiver link. The waiver is the one that matters: if you put your online waiver here, climbers are prompted to sign it before their visit instead of standing at your desk filling in a form.

Hours

Your opening hours. The app reads them on your gym's own clock to show climbers whether you're open right now, and the map's Open now filter uses them. A gym with no hours set never shows up under that filter. You can keep them in step with Google automatically, or set them by hand. The toggle at the top of the section decides which.

The Hours section in edit mode with the Google sync toggle, time zone and per-day ranges
In edit mode: the sync toggle, your time zone, and a row per day. `Copy to all` saves typing the same hours seven times, and `Add range` gives a day a second block for a midday close. Tap to enlarge.
Keep hours in sync with Google
Link your Google listing once and Wall Pass refreshes your hours from it every night. Best if you already keep Google up to date, because then there's only one place to change them. Refresh now pulls them immediately if you can't wait for the overnight run.
Manual
Turn the toggle off and you type the hours yourself. Nothing overwrites them, not even the nightly Google run. Best if your listing is wrong, or you keep hours Google can't express.
